Individual Counseling & Couples Counseling
Dr. Stanley provides individual and couples counseling. He helps individuals and couples reduce stressors, remove barriers to success, and reach their goals through self-initiated change. He is a licensed mental health counselor in the State of Florida and holds the national certified counselor and approved clinical supervisor credentials. His experience as a counselor spans 15 years.
Consulting & Training
Professional consulting services are available for school counselors, schools, and districts who seek to improve the quality of their school counseling programs, and training services/speaking engagements are available for schools, districts, associations, and other groups. Research consulting services for graduate students working on a dissertation or thesis are also available. Informal consultations and connections with other colleagues by e-mail are always available at no charge.
Advocacy
Dr. Stanley is actively involved in advocacy at the local, state, and national levels, especially as it concerns the advancement of education, school counseling, and mental health services. If you know of an advocacy project in which Dr. Stanley should be involved, please make contact to discuss!
As a former coordinator with the Tennessee Department of Education's Division of Special Populations, Dr. Stanley is a specialist in special education services, individual education programs/plans (IEPs), and the provisions of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act. Individual consultation and advocacy services are available for children and families who need support in navigating the education system.
